YOU are specially designed by God, uniquely created just as you are! Did you know that? Your personality, gifting, language of love, and style of learning is just how God wanted you to be. He perfectly equipped you to fill your place in the Family of God. We’re one Body, but many different parts. We all have our special giftings to further the work of the Kingdom!

“Now about gifts I do not want you to be ignorant,” said Paul (1 Corinthians 12:1)… We’re to know what our giftings are, so we can use them properly! While we have to be careful not to get carried away in all the “classifications,” etc. it is really helpful in understanding each other, and finding our niche in the Body.

It is also neat to realize how God made family members with different giftings and personalities, so we can all complement each other, and “cover” the areas that the others don’t. Observing our family interact is a personality study in itself! When I began studying about personalities, it definitely helped me understand and get along with people better, knowing what makes them “tick.” Instead of thinking that it’s “just how they are”, I know that they act that way because that’s their personality or gifting type, and I can figure out how to complement them instead of just getting frustrated. And it’s amazing they all are so inter-related–especially the personality types and spiritual gifts.
