It’s hard to believe that this month marks 20 years since YLCF’s humble beginnings as the “Purry Kitten” club. It’s been 20 years of friendship and fellowship. Years of growth and of change. Years of renewed purpose and conviction. Years of fun and encouragement. Years of learning and trusting.
Speaking for all of us here at YLCF, we are so very thankful to have been allowed to serve Him and serve you through this website and ministry. 20 years spent with each of you is worth celebrating!
The YLCF Team has been eagerly anticipating this “anniversary” these past few months. (For more than just the fact that 20 years of anything reflects on our own ages.) We’ve hardly been able to keep our mouths shut, bursting with the exciting secret…
And now, it’s finally time, to unveil our new look and a whole new set of logos that capture our purpose—past, present, and future!
As always, it’s been amazing to see how God brought all the details together. First, after spending hours searching for the “perfect” layout and not finding what I wanted, I won a professional WordPress theme this summer (many thanks to WooThemes and WPBeginner). Then, two talented photographers, Jennifer Pinkerton and Laura Wright, volunteered their talent in the form of photo shoots filled with so many beautiful photos we could hardly choose favorites! Finally, graphic designer (and long-time friend of YLCF) Abigail Westbrook brought it all together into coordinated logo designs for our entire website. All in time for our twentieth anniversary!
Plus, the talented photography of these ladies doesn’t end with our logos—more of their smiling subjects are featured on the pages throughout our website, bringing to life the heart of YLCF.
You’ll have to come on over to ylcf.org to check it all out. From the Homeschool Stories to the Courtship Stories, the Got Curl and Got Personality sections to a brand new header, everything’s beautiful and new.
There are plenty of fun buttons for you to place on your own blog, too. Not only can you link to ylcf.org or let everyone know you’re a Curly Girl with a curly button, but if you’ve had your Courtship Story or Homeschool Story published on YLCF, there’s a special button for you to link to that as well.
And in case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been trying to make everything more easy to find. Look in the drop-down menu for details on all our Carnivals. (Don’t forget, the March of Books is coming up soon! What will you read and review?)

Wow! I *love* the new look….for a moment I wasn’t sure I was in the right place! I’ve been following y’all for a while, and I love the heart behind this. ylcf has been a real encouragement to me since I became a Christian, and I’m so glad it’s still here (and looking funky!) to inspire a new generation of beautiful young ladies.
