Dear YLCF Friends,
2010 could be described as a year of “all things new” for us. New conversation when Ruth Ann (now 3 years old) learned to talk at the beginning of the year (and hasn’t stopped since). New bedrooms when we finished our remodel up this spring. A new crop when my farmer husband planted wheat this year. New mobility when Mary Kate (now 16 months old) learned to walk–and run! A new church building which it was exciting to move into with our church family. New work as God provided more web design jobs for me to do from home. A new John Deere pedal tractor for Ruth on her birthday, which she loves to drive “just like Daddy.” New roles as we anticipate Mary becoming a big sister with a new baby on the way next spring! A new car when we realized we were outgrowing ours, put it up for sale, and saw the Lord not only sell it right away but provide an amazing deal on another! New blessings “with ten thousand beside” as we saw God continue to provide for our family through the farm despite the economy.
Now we’re on the brink of another new year. We don’t know what new things it holds, but we know the One Who holds the year–and us–in His hands.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
-Bill & Gloria Gaither
Praying you know Him, and wishing a joyous Christmas to each and every one of you…
Because He Lives,
Gretchen
