I Don’t Know About Tomorrow

I don’t know about tomorrow,
I don’t have a guarantee
That it will be filled with sunshine
Or that these clouds will always be…

A Post Card from California

2010 was quite a year for our little family! Our first full year together as husband and wife had its many challenges, but many more blessings. Our first year with Cedar was full of wonder as we watched him grow and change so quickly from a newborn to a baby and now to a toddler. The Lord’s goodness has been evident throughout the year.

Postmarked:
Wisconsin, England, Colorado, & California!

What a privilege to send you a “post card” from my new home in California! This has been the most amazing year of my life. I hope to write several articles to share more of my story, but for now, here is a quick update…

At the beginning of the year a young man who I greatly admired and respected started corresponding with me on and off. By March he decided I was “more or less interesting”…

Merry Christmas!

A Post Card
From: The Little Pink House

Dear YLCF Friends, 2010 could be described as a year of “all things new” for us.  New conversation when Ruth Ann (now 3 years old) learned to talk at the beginning of the year (and hasn’t stopped since).  New bedrooms when we finished our remodel up this spring.  A new crop when my farmer husband…

YLCF first annual Christmas Post Card Exchange

Christmas Post Card Exchange

Christmas cards are kind of a tradition in my family. My grandmother has a photo album filled with each of the annual Christmas card pictures they have taken in their 54 years of marriage. My parents continued the tradition that my dad’s parents began, and in each year’s photo you can see our growth (there was a time I was taller than my brother!), our styles (did I truly wear my curls like that?!), our pets (I miss my Siamese cat named Mocha).

Tidings of Joy

It was over two thousand years ago, on a night we don’t know, a date we can only guess at, but it was the most important night in the entire history of the world, for it was the night that those tidings of joy were first heard and welcomed by hearts that believed. I’ve always…

Waiting Days

“It was a labor of love,” she told me, coming to my door on a November day and handing me a tissue-wrapped package, wrinkling her nose with a smile. There’s no doubt that it was. A host of paper leaves, hand-tinted in varying hues. Tiny pictures she knew I’d love, dusted with glitter and hidden…
