Verses on OBEY - OBEDIENCE:
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing" (Ephesians 5:24).

That is such a sweet story. It reminds me of my parents. So many trials and so much love. :)

I have one question, though. I do not see any place in the Bible where a woman is to obey her husband. Children obey their parents, wives submit to their husbands. Is the use of "obey" a translation thing?

What a wonderful story! It especially touched me as we had a very dear friend pass away last year--a man who was a wonderful example of godliness and was very devoted to his wife--and his name was Harris too!

Ahhh - precious and wise words. Thank you dear friend for being such an example to US - your marriage vows and commitment extending and influencing so many beyond your sphere. We (our family) can surely attest to your marriage and love (and laughter)! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Wendy

That was so beautiful, it almost made me cry. I identify with many parts of this--I married when I was nearly twenty, and I found that many of my friends were not willing to understand or make allowances for a married woman; "forsaking all others" friend-wise is something I have had trouble with, but when I do choose my husband first, I am always rewarded. I hope that my husband and I grow in our relationship as much as Mrs. Adams. Thank you so much for this testimony.
