Gretchen, Natalie, & Ashleigh – Posin’ for a YLCF Team Self-Portrait
We’ve been making tweaks to it ever since we switched over to the new version of Blogger last March and got a new look at ylcf.org. We’ve talked about a makeover and beautifying our site all that. Little did we know all that would end up entailing when we first started talking about it! But here we are, a year later…with not only a new logo, but making the switch to WordPress as well!
Blogger has been our faithful friend these many years, and was great for getting us started in the blogging world six years ago. But in hopes of more ease in updating all aspects of ylcf.org, we’re transitioning to WordPress. In the meantime, you may notice that not all the pages look the same–but in our spare time, we’ll get that remedied. We appreciate your patience with the bugs that will most likely appear in the process, but please do let us know if you notice a persistent problem or a broken link. If we don’t find it, we can’t fix it–so thanks for pointing them out to us (we’re sure they will be there)! While you’re at it, write and tell us your suggestions for improvements. This is still all a work in progress, so please share your ideas.
Meanwhile, I’d like to take a moment to thank Natalie for all her years of help with the YLCF. Just a quick glance in the archives shows so many ways she’s inspired and encouraged each of us with her talent and passion. As God continues to lead Natalie into other seasons, I’m excited and grateful to welcome Ashleigh who joins Lanier and me on the YLCF Board of Directors. We continue to daily seek the Lord’s guidance as we renew our focus and vision here at YLCF.
And finally, many, many thanks to Ashleigh for designing our new logo (click here for the YLCF’s logo history), and to Lanier’s husband Philip for not only the idea of using WordPress, but for customizing our drop-down menu so it would work with our WordPress theme!
Now, come visit the all-new ylcf.org!
Of course, sometimes “real life YLCF” looks more like this!

Please Note: If for some reason all the redirects don’t work properly and this is the last YLCF post that shows up in your feed reader, check your feed settings to make sure you’re subscribed to our FeedBurner feed, or the new YLCF feed address: ylcf.org/feed (yes, it’s that simple). Watch for tomorrow’s post which will be your sign that we’re all moved in to WordPress. If you don’t see it, you’ll know you need to change your subscription settings!

Wow, girls, I love the new look! Just beautiful!
I look forward to exploring the new site! Thank you for all your hard work. It definitely has a more modern look. I’d love to see the old logo posted somewhere though.
Question:
Will the comments on previous posts make the switch?
Lora, you can find the old logo on our history page at ylcf.org/history/

Looks great girls, I love the new style and the photos of the three of you and while you were working on it were fun to see.
The new look of YLCF is beautiful – as if the logo. Thank you for all the love and time and work you girls continue to pour into YLCF. God bless you ALL!
Thanks for all the time you took to do this! We appreciate it!
I’m so excited you guys have switched!!!! My school blocks commenting on Blogger, so I’m excited you’ve switched and now I can comment and read comments again!
Thanks for all your hard work getting it set up!
Yes, I like it, more and more. And I’ll get this Word Press thing down sooner or later. Hoping for the sooner part.
In someways, for sure easier than Blogger, but just to figure out the little tweaks…
That picture is great!

I’m glad you all took pictures during the process though; it makes it more real in a way!
I like the new format and Ash did a great job on the new header. Cute and pretty.
Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put into YLCF over the years; we really appreciate it!
*hugs*
Samantha
