The darker the night, the brighter the stars. It does not change them, it does not affect their light, but only strengthens it. And if it is so with the stars, why not with me?
How could it be that this snow, this cold, icy mound of snow, is the very thing that is protecting the tender first leaves of some of the native plants beneath? From the snow, they gather the warmth that keeps them alive.
Life, too, has it’s share of icy moments. May I learn to gather the warmth from the coldness, that instead of destroying life, these wintry seasons will strengthen and preserve.




































Wow! This is really good. I’m going through some hard times in my life right now. I keep wanting to ask God “why?” I’ve known the truths of how trials bring us closer to God and make us stronger, but it is still hard. Thank you for the reinforcement of that truth.
There is something special about a snowy walk under the stars. I love talking to God there too!
