Man needs difficulties

Quotations from a treasure of a book I discovered…

You know as well as I there’s more…there’s always one more scene no matter. - Archibald McLeish

In the last resort it is highly improbably that there could ever be a therapy which gets rid of all difficulties. Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health. - Carl Jung

Die before you die. There is no chance after. - C. S. Lewis

Reminds me of a quote by Oswald Chambers that I read today: “Suffering is the heritage of the bad, of the penitent, and of the Son of God. Each one ends at the Cross. The bad thief is crucified, the penitent thief is crucified, and the Son of God is crucified. By these signs we know the widespread heritage of suffering.” We all suffer.
