Dear Stephanie,

I related to your post so well!! My husband is also working full time while finishing school (accounting) at the same time that we save for our first home.

When I stop to count my blessings those things I do not yet have pale in comparison to God's goodness to me today!

Thanks for sharing,
Vanessa

Thanks for the reminder! It can be so hard sometimes to remember that where I am right now is where God wants me right now.

I wish every Christian girl could read articals like this. I believe almost all girls who have great dreams for their future will be faced with the problem of being content at some point in their life. It is because of articals like these that I am learning to enjoy the season I am in right now. Most of the time you hear people talk about how much they wish they would have enjoyed their childhood, singlehood, ect., more then they did, but you don't hear of people who have. Because girls like you share their heart, it is possible to enjoy the situation you are in right now.

Keep writing Stephanie!

This is something that I've been working on recently as well. I believe that the heart of discontentment is covetousness and ungratefulness. Discontentment can stay when you're praising the Lord and giving thanks for what He has given you!

Remember, each day is a gift from God. "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Ps. 118:24).

How I so desire to bring honor and glory to my Saviour every day - even in the small, seemingly unimportant things.
Thank you for the much needed reminder!
