New Year’s YLCF Get-together

In the past couple months I’ve been blessed to begin getting to know a few girls in the Omaha metro area who also read YLCF. My guess is that there are more of you that I don’t know about.

So here’s my question…who would be interested in having a get-together of sorts sometime in January? I don’t have much of the specifics yet, only a desire to fellowship and build some more connections with those who may be within driving distance. I doubt I am the only one who would be interested in such. :)

Maybe this would be a simple afternoon of drinking tea and hot chocolate while talking and sharing…maybe it could even be a weekend if a proper location could be found. I’m just brainstorming. This idea has been on my heart for awhile but finally could wait no longer after several delightful conversations lately combined with yesterday’s tragedy. So…if you would be interested will you please contact me? You can either comment with an email address or email me directly and I will be in touch!

Wouldn’t I love to be part of that get-together! I don’t think northern Canada, however, is exactly driving distance… :)

I’d love to, but I’m also from Canada (cool that two others who commented are, too!). I’m from Ottawa Canada – maybe we should host our own YLCF party. I have a friend in the area who also reads! :)

I will be in Omaha visiting family from Dec. 19-Jan. 2…however, that’s probably not a workable timeframe. :-(

If I were at home in the States, I’d be tempted to come, but I’m in Europe. I can’t drive over the Atlantic. Too bad. I’d love to meet some YLCF readers.

That would be fun! But as alot of the others already said, I guess I’m a lttle too far away! (Calgary, Canada)

Wow, I’m surprised at the number of Canadians on here! =) I am too. Anyone wants to come over here (northwestern Ontario, near Manitoba) in January or February?? We have a huge house, perfect for a girl’s week-end! Maybe if we had it in April, you could meet my little one. ;-) =)

I had a dream last night that we all met up… only we were kids, for some reason, and not grown women with families of our own. I know; I have weird dreams. My husband tells me that all the time. Just thought I’d share, lol!

You’re not the only who’s had a YLCF dream, Arlene. I did myself a week or so ago. Only the people I met were grown women!

Wouldn’t a YLCF reunion be fun? Omaha’s a little far for this Canadian gal ;)
