We recently received this letter from a young lady named Sarah. Thank you to all who write to us–we hope to begin printing some of these letters to share with our readers.
I am a longtime reader of YLCF writing to share two little words with you that I have been meaning to say for a long time:
Thank you.
Thank you for all the work that you have put into YLCF and still continue to put in. Thank you for all the wisdom, sorrows, joys and encouragements that you have taken the time to share with all of us. And, most of all, thank you for being so real and caring so much.
Whenever I log on to your website I feel like I am in a roomful of good friends.
I can almost imagine myself curled up on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate, and I can almost see you all, sitting around, talking and encouraging one another.
I recognize Natalie and Gretchen sitting in one corner selflessly serving each other, and I am convicted to do the same in my own friendships. I listen to Lanier, next to me, gracefully encouraging us to embrace the feminine literature of yesteryear, and I am inspired to dust off a few volumes of my own. I watch Gretchen’s eyes sparkle and I note the loving devotion that she has for her man, and I am encouraged to wait for mine. I hear about far away adventures and close to home experiences and I laugh with you at your exploits and I sympathize with you at our mutual fears and temptations. By your example I am strengthened to continue to fight the good fight and because of your honesty I know that I am not alone.
Thank you for having the dedication and the passion to continue to keep YLCF going. I look forward to being a faithful reader for many years and I pray that God will continue “to equip you in every good thing to do His will” and that you will be richly blest in the years to come.
As I (and my sisters too) walk toward the goal of righteous womanhood together we look forward to your fellowship, insight and encouragement along the way.
