Excellent, excellent reminder, Katie! How important it is to keep our relationship with the Lord in its proper place -- first and foremost in everything, with open hearts and listening ears to do His bidding when it comes.

So very true. I have been thinking about that lately with the summer coming and so many choices about what to do this summer and what to do next year. There is such a struggle to find balance between serving and sitting at Christ's feet. Excellent point about Mary and Martha by the way Sarah. Even knowing the best way to be His servant takes much prioritizing. Thanks for the post Katie.

-Janel

OK, I'm confused. I don't remember writing that above comment, but it sounds like me. :)

What I was going to say is that... you're talking about Mary vs. Martha, aren't you? Nice.

This is so true. Even if I'm doing something good in itself, it's not good for me to do it if it's not what God wants me to be doing right now. The only way to know what I'm to do to love Him best is to know both Him and myself, so I know what He wants from me. Otherwise, I am bringing a Cain gift instead of an Abel one. The "being" and "becoming," I've learned, is at least as important as the "doing." :)
