News from our world traveler!

I was so excited to turn on my computer and find an email from Natalie! Then, an instant message popped up from her, and we enjoyed a few flurried messages during her sixty seconds left on the Israelian internet. Here are a few snippets from her emails…

Hi from Jerusalem!

I have to type quick because I’m paying for this…:) But I finally found a place to say hello and even though we leave Sunday I had to write. Dad and I are doing great–had a blast together. Every part of the trip has been more wonderful than I imagined.

We were in the Jewish Quarter this morning and saw some of the ruins from the time of Jesus and then the wall King Hezekiah built thousands of years ago. This afternoon we drove south and east to the Sorek and Elah valleys and went caving! :) I had a blast with that of course. It is Shabbat now so all is quiet. Tomorrow will be very long and I am hoping I can really savor the last day, esp as we go back to the Old City.

Our group has gotten along very well. And yes…all is well.

Please please pray I don’t get sick on the flight home–I was sick on the flight and it was misery!

Natalie

Poor Natalie… I’ve never been airsick, but it happens to my mom all the time. I tend to get carsick in the back of vehicles… So I will imagine that is what being airsick feels like, so I can empathize. It’s terrible!

Anyway, it is difficult to picture the traveling news without having been to those places. But the sheer history of the land amazes me!

Oh…how wonderful to hear from Natalie! I miss her almost-daily updates, but I’m so happy that she can finally go to the Holy Land! It’s hard to believe that she’s already getting ready to come back. And I can totally sympathize and will be praying in regards to being sick on the flight…it’s horrible, especially on international flights because they’re SO LONG!

Awwww… I miss Nat. :( It sure sounds like she’s having a wonderful time, though. I can’t wait to hear all her stories when she gets home… and what fun for her sissy to get to hear from her unexpectedly like that. :D
