Wonderful post, Gretchen! I couldn't agree more! My husband and I found ouselves clapping in front of the telvision again and again. :) How thankful we are for the blessing of being American and the man God has placed as our Commander in Chief. <br/>An interesting note... Marine SSgt Dan Clay, the man the President honored by reading part of his letter to his family and then honoring his wife, Lisa and his parents, was a good friend of ours. Dan and Lisa were our next door neighbors when we first married and moved onto the Marine Corps base until this past August when they had to move all of us. Lisa was my first "Marine Wife" friend on base. They are a wonderful Christian couple... it has been evident since Dan went to be with the Lord that He has been Lisa's hope and stronghold. Her testimony is quite puzzling to some of the other wives and the men from Dan's unit. But we know why she can have such peace!

Thank you, Gretchen! HOW DID I MISS THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS? Yikes! Oh well, thanks to your link I was able to print it off. Do keep our troops in your prayers. I feel that they are being forgotten. At the beginning of the war everyone was talking and thinking about them, but as time continues to pass (and things settle down), there aren't as many reports from the front. Don't forget them!

YAY!! What a great post...of course, I agree wtih you!! I especially think we need to be praying for and reaching out to our troops serving over there - what an amazing sacrifice they're making on our behalf. I'm actually hoping to start some kind of "adopt troops" program through College Republican chapters here in GA.
